Here is a list of all the games I’ve played

  • Resident Evil (REmake)

    REmake

I have a tendency to try to play through a series each year. In 2021 I gave the Final Fantasy Series a go and surprisingly beat 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 9, 10, and then got sucked in by FF14 which killed the dream of beating them all.

The core Resident Evil games are a lot less daunting. Stories that range from 2 hours to maybe like 10 if you get stuck. With Resident Evil, unlike Final Fantasy I plan on going in order. REmakes will be played in lieu of their original counterparts.

I started RE1 a little after the start of the year but put it on pause for a few weeks. Returning to it on the 22nd of January where I completed the rest of the game. I played as Jill as I was not having a run with Chris. I don’t require the game to be easy but Chris just seems frustratingly hard. No lock pick and two less inventory spots.

Jill was a fairly smooth ride. I did get killed by a puzzle not realizing it could even kill me. That is the thing about this game. The game seems like it can kill you at anytime but it doesn’t then when you think you’re safe. Nope.

Memorable part that I enjoyed most about the game was the puzzles in the aqua ring/residence part of the game. It feels like a whole different game.

Part I didn’t enjoy so much was dealing with crimson heads. Yeah you can burn the bodies but that is so slow. The alternative is to not suck at the game and just dodge all zombies. But I suck so that didn’t happen either.

    Playtime: 6 Hours

First Clear: Nope. I have played this a few times in my life. But probably not a full clear in over a decade.

    Recommend: Yup.
